‘Montreal Dances Across Borders’ raises money for migrant networks

The new compilation series launches today, raising money for migrant network ‘Solidarity Across Borders’.

Curated by Montreal based producer, Jean Grünewald (who goes under the alias ottoman.grüw) and online magazine, Mes Enceintes Font Défaut, ‘Montreal Dances Across Borders’ brings together the best from Montreal’s underground dance scene. Raising money for good causes whilst highlighting the principles of solidarity and unity that underpin dance music culture, the first volume of the compilation is out today.

Ten artists have contributed tracks including curator, ottoman.grüw alongside Honeydrip, Police Des Moeurs and Aquaventure among others. The compilation is available for free download, however, MDAB are asking for pay-as-you-feel donations, raising money for ‘Solidarity Across Borders‘.

Active since 2003, Solidarity Across Borders are a migrant network based in Montreal. As a body, they are made up entirely of migrants and allies. Together they mobilise to support individuals and families who experience unjust treatment within the immigration and refugee system. Their work ranges from education and support work through to demonstrations and other direct action.
