Loraine James Will Release Collaborative EP ‘Nothing’

The North London native follows on from her highly supported album ‘For You and I’ with new EP ‘Nothing’, once again with Hyperdub.

Loraine formed the EP when working through a low mood. After reaching out for collaborators publicly, she found a trio of artists who connected with the feeling of her instrumental productions.

The featured artists come from all areas of the world, singer and producer Lila Tirdo a Violeta from Uruguay alongside Australian singer and front-woman of band HTRK, Jonnine. Rapper, Tardast spits verse in Persian Farsi on ‘Marg’.

Each artist brings their own unique energy and experiences to the EP, marrying seamlessly with Loraine’s production. Across the four-track EP, the collaborations dive into personal trauma’s and challenges. Tardast touches on the hopelessness of the refugee experience and the death of a friend.

On ‘Don’t You See Me’, Jonnine opens up about finding clarity when moving on from a destructive relationship; this is available for listening below.

‘Nothing’ EP is out 2nd October via Hyperdub, on vinyl and digital formats.
