London soulful house promoters Makin’ Moves welcome two heavy weights to their longstanding House 4 soul party, bringing DJ Jihad Muhammad from New York and singer sensation Sheree Hicks from Chicago to London’s Omeara.
Recently celebrating their sixth birthday celebrations in September, Makin’ Moves have previously hosted artists like Omar, Terry Hunter, DJ Romain and Ronnie Herrel.
Their October special brings Sheree Hicks for the first time, a singer who was picked up by the legendary Def Jam Records at the age of just 17 and has written songs for the likes of Backstreet, Heavy D and C&C Music Factory. Now a well known voice on the house circuit, her performance at Omeara will see her perform a number of her classic anthems.
DJ Jihad Muhammad, an artist who has been in the industry for over 40 years, runs the reputable Bang The Drum event in New Jersey as well as heads up his own label, Movement Soul. His 3 hour set at House 4 soul will mark his first visit to the Capital in four years.
Supporting the two headliners are Makin’ Moves DJs Matt LS and Jamesey, Simon Andrews from Point Blank FM, Minnie Dipple, Patrick Steele & Morpheus Soul, who’ll each be bringing their own flavours of broken beat, rare groove, boogie and future soul.
House 4 Soul with Jihad Muhammad & Sheree Hicks takes place on October 20 at Omeara London.
