The latest wave of acts set for Fort Punta Christo this August includes some heavy hitters.
Set for their fourth trip to the Adriatic Coast 26th-30th August, the organisers of Dimensions Festival are keen to make sure its a special one. Spearheading the latest waves are two Motor City Techno demigods in the form of Juan Atkins and Underground Resistance – who present the ‘High Tech Jazz’ of their live ‘Timeline’ concept. Floating Points – who is already slated to appear live alongside Four Tet and Little Dragon at the festival’s opening concert, is now confirmed to DJ, whilst there will also be appearances from Swamp 81 head honcho Loefah and Nonplus boss Boddika. Teutonic talents Objekt and Âme are set to join, whilst there’s also a return to the festival for Space Dimension Controller.
Elsewhere there’s the intriguing proposition of a live performance from Canadian Jazz trio BADBADNOTGOOD, who recently received acclaim for their collaborative album Ghostface Killah. They join the likes of George Clinton’s Parliament/Funkadelic, Ben Klock, Moodymann, Lil Louis, Mala, Blawan, Surgeon, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Osunlade, and more already confirmed for this summer’s event.
