“A queer party for all”
Homoelectric have announced the line-up for their debut festival in November this year, with Black Madonna, Honey Dijon, Robyn and Romy XX amongst the heavyweight billing.
After two decades of hosting events across the country, the respected Manchester promoters now introduce Homobloc – a 10,000 cap, 4 stage event in Mayfield Depot in Manchester.
The mission statement of the festival is clear – “Homobloc is a queer party for all”. The festival have also stated that they will stick to Homoelectric’s musical ethos, exploring a melting pot of genres, from afrobeat, boogie, disco, house and and techno to “outer space bass buggin’ futurism and outsider pop”.
Honey Dijon leads the charge, whilst Larry Heard, Robyn, Midland, Róisín Murphy, The Black Madonna, Hunee, Palms Trax, Jayda G, Haai, and Romy will also feature across the one-day event.
