Fabric’s new in-house label will launch at the club alongside Hessle Audio and Idle Hands.
Unveiled at the start of 2013, Houndstooth is the new label venture from the team at Fabric. Helmed by Electronic Explorations curator Rob Booth, the imprint is an “artist led” project, which has so far featured a release from the Berliner Call Super and poised to drop an EP from House of Black Lanterns, aka Dylan Richards. Both artists will feature at Houndstooth’s official launch at Fabric on Friday, April 12, joined in Room 2 by enigmatic Mancunian outfit Akkord, Bristol beatmonger Al Tourette’s and most excitingly the debut performance of Paul Woolford under his ruffneck Special Request alias.
Room 1 is in the safe hands of Hessle Audio, with the original label triumvirate of Pearson Sound, Ben UFO and Pangaea bolstered by a live set from Actress and DJ set from The Trilogy Tapes‘ Will Bankhead. Room 3 sees Bristol’s finest Idle Hands hosting at the club for the second time, represented by their own Kowton and The Kelly Twins, plus guest slots from Alex Coulton, AnD and Rhythmic Theory.
Head to the Fabric website to grab advance tickets for the event, and stream clips from House of Black Lanterns’s ‘Truth And Loss’ EP below featuring a big remix from Fracture, released March 25 on Houndstooth.
