The music and culture festival celebrates 10th anniversary this May (29-31st).
To commemorate the landmark achievement, the Berlin Festival organisers will bring together a vibrant mix of music, film and art being showcased at various interesting spaces across the city. Arena Park will be transformed into the capital’s biggest club for the weekend, playing host to the likes of James Blake, Underworld, Roisin Murphy, Carl Craig, Robert Hood – alongside Berlin regulars Richie Hawtin, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Dixon, Tale Of Us and Âme (live). Elsewhere club institution Watergate invites resident DJs, label acts and international club regulars including Pan-Pot, Ellen Allien, Tiefschwarz, LaFleur and Marco Resmann. splash! Mag takeover the Glashaus with a dose of R&B and Hip-Hop from Kelela, Shlomo and Purple.
The festival will also see Maximilian Lenz aka influential German DJ, Promoter and Writer WestBam celebrate his 50th birthday, marking the occasion with a celebration of three decades of Techno history. Berlin’s film festival community will be present at the event under the banner of Berlin ‘A’ Screen – in co-operation with Berlinale, Teddy Awards, Pornfilmfestival and EXPOSED International Queer Film Festival Berlin. Arena Club will also feature a film lounge playing host to Q&A’s and a wide variety of film screenings. The Art Village will also return for 2015 for those with a penchant towards street art, graffiti, dance, performance art and poetry slams.
