Belfast’s AVA Festival announce Larry Heard and conference programme

Chicago house legend Larry Heard will perform live at AVA Festival in June, making his Northern Ireland debut alongside a stellar lineup that includes Jeff Mills, Marcel Dettmann, Ben UFO, Denis Sulta, Fatima Yamaha, Rebekah, Bicep and more.

Also announced is the festival’s conference programme. Making its move to Belfast’s contemporary arts centre, Larry Heard will discuss his career up to this day and dive into the makings of his forthcoming album, his first in 25 years, in the conference’s lead keynote.

Tech giants Native Instruments and Pioneer will also present workshops, as well as leading talks and masterclasses from artists like Bicep, Saoirse and Kink and established institutions PRS For Music and AFEM.

AVA Festival takes place June 1 – 2 at S13 Warehouse Belfast.
