Beatrice Dillon takes a trip through RVNG Intl’s vast discography of music.
The Brooklyn-based imprint have called upon close friend Beatrice Dillon to help celebrate their fifteenth anniversary by asking her to record a catalog mix built from her favourite episodes from the label’s output.
Founded in 2003 by Matt Werth, the label is run by Werth and focuses on experimental dance and electronic music, with past efforts from acts like Sun Araw, Holly Herndon, Lovefingers and Tornado Wallace.
Inspired by their first label mixtape release from Julian S. Process, they now invite London producer Beatrice Dillon to compose a two part mix that is said to feature “loads of cut ups, blends, edits, layered loops, audio manipulation, collaging, etc.,” and moments “where the tracks just run cos they sounded great to my ears.”
Limited to 250 cassette copies that come with access to a digital download, you can listen Side A of Beatrice’s mix on the release’s website.
RVNG Intl. at 15: Beatrice Dillon Selects / Dissects is out December 14th, 2018.
