BBC, London DJ and broadcaster Emily Dust , Mango Park and LoRIOca of Pomba Girls continue to connect the dots between the forward-thinking club sounds across the globe with her new clubnight, Baile LDN.
Celebrating the sounds of baile funk, kuduro, afrohouse, gqom, UK funky and more, Baile LDN launched earlier this year, having already hosted the likes of Leo Justi and BADSISTA. The October Edition this coming weekend sees them bring the clubnight to East London basement The Glove That Fits, already home to outfits like Apron Records and Planet Mu.
Headlining the gig is producer and DJ Jaymie Silk. Fresh off his EP Summer Of Silk Edits Vol 1, the Montreal artist is famed for mixing baile with afro-bass, ballroom and uk bass. He’ll be joined by KG aka Karen Nyame, the producer and DJ who’s been known to collaborate with Scratcha DVA and Simbad. Ahead of proceedings, listen back to Emily’s killer Hyp mix from earlier this year.
Baile LDN takes place October 18th at The Glove That Fits in Hackney.
