All proceeds go to key charities like The National Immigration Law Center and Planned Parenthood.
Ahead of tomorrow’s dreaded presidential inauguration, New York-based collective Discwoman and Physical Therapy’s Allergy Season imprint have teamed up to release a 42-track charity compilation, Physically Sick. It’s been curated by Discwoman co-founders Umfang and Frankie Hutchinson, alongside Max McFerren and Physical Therapy, and features tracks from the likes of rRoxymore, Via App, and Jayda G – this one is a must-listen.
100% of profits from the compilation are going to US-based charities who are heavily opposed to the incoming Trump administration: The American Civil Liberties Union, Callen-Lorde, The National Immigration Law Center, and Planned Parenthood.
Hear what the curators had to say below and stream the compilation in full. You can buy it for any price you choose via Bandcamp.
“Well, we just got back from the doctor and yes, we’re sick. There is a fetid smell, the pollen of hatred and bigotry, wafting through the air and our allergies are acting up. While there’s no known cure, we’ve come up with something to treat the symptom, a healthy dose of electronic protest music, a middle finger from the underground to the future powers-that-be.”
