Originally hailing from the West coast of Wales, Harri’s early obsessions with records came from being raised in his family’s jazz cafe and being tasked with chief selector at the neighbourhood parties in the Pembrokeshire valleys.
He’s now London based following a stint in Bristol, and has firmly embedded his soulful spirit into the underground scene of The Big Smoke. If he’s not recommending wax to local diggers of Hackney’s Cosmos Records, then he’s off DJing at Camden’s longstanding Jazz Cafe or travelling round Europe on the festival circuit. He’s also a main player for our friends over at Stamp The Wax, joining the crew for their first ever party in 2013 and now representing them both with the pen and sword worldwide.
With all this wisdom, its safe to say we’re in good hands for the final Hyp mix of 2019. Harri’s selections tend to venture toward the deepest corners of dance music from across the globe, and on his debut session for us he comes proper with a goodie bag of rare afro, boogie and disco joints to see out the year in style.
