Since first becoming an active figure in electronic music, London’s Yewande Adeniran, aka Ifeoluwa, has always used her position of influence to push the boundaries of the underground community by uplifting and amplifying marginalised individuals.
A writer, lecturer, NTS resident and founder of 404, Yewande is also well known for heading up INTERVENTION, the DJ and production workshop that travels the country offering a welcoming space for women to come together and celebrate all things dance.
As a selector, her choice in sound works much to that same progressive mindset, forever testing the limits of a dancefloor through a journey of twisted electronics and club styles pulled from across the globe. A quality that has recently landed her a residency at Sheffield’s avant-garde music and arts festival No Bounds.
For her debut Hyponik mix, she does exactly that above, steering the nutty experiments of Ida Dillan, Naim, Citizen Boy, Bulma and more thrillingly off course. Check below.
