The latest signing to Hotflush goes deep.
Although better known for her contributions as one half of Digitaria, Brazilian producer Daniela Caldellas is now stepping out on her own as Terr. A return to the electro and techno of her early days, Caldellas is making her debut on Hotflush Recordings – and under her Terr alias – with the blazing three track EP, Burn The Past, which is out now.
Caldellas played in punk bands in her teen years, before unearthing electronic music via the likes of Kraftwerk, Atom TM, Depeche Mode and Juan Atkins. It was then she truly found the outlet for her artistic expression. This unhampered desire to create, and the riotous manner of punk, is all over her recent EP – where tough EBM incursions nudge up alongside sleek tech-house and more uplifting cuts.
Now Caldellas takes to the Hyp mix series with an hour’s worth of electrifying prime time numbers. In it you’ll find tracks from Hotflush boss Scuba, Atom TM and some of Terr’s own scorching constructions. Play this one loud.
