Hyp 061: Duffstep
Tweet
Early this year, Jeremy Duffy, the London-based producer and DJ more commonly know as Duff Disco, turned out one of the finest debut albums of the year in his bass and electronica long player ‘Getting to Sirius’ under his latest moniker Duffstep.
In keeping with the new pseudonym, Duffstep’s work sits up their alongside the likes of a number of ‘post-dubstep’ artists currently exploring the twin worlds of garage and bass. With a number of releases on his own Join The Dots label, plus this years long player receiving the remix treatment by Falty DL, Mark E, Young Montana and Riley Reinhold.
His Hyponik mix continues down the same route of deep, dubbed out steppa’s music, with tracks from Kris Wadsworth, VVV and Jan Tenner, sitting nicely beside his more house orientated work under the Duff Disco label. Deep and Duffy.
