Premiere: Warsnare – ‘Murderous Times’ (feat. Fille De La Lune) [Video]
TweetFollowing yesterday’s release of the Warsnare ‘Brutalist’ EP; we are pleased to bring you the video premiere of lead track ‘Murderous Times’, directed by Visitor.
Starkey and Dev79’s Seclusiasis label continue their impressive run of form with London’s Warsnare. The ‘Brutalist’ EP is a florid showcase of electronic music: melding cinematic ambience with twisted strains of R&B, footwork and dub. The Goldsmith’s alumni cut his teeth producing soundtracks for award-winning short films and AV installations – honing in on a sound that is pretty tough to pin down, wandering between the realms of organic experimentation and the colourful grime/dubstep/bass sounds Seclusiasis have become synonymous with.
Lead track ‘Murderous Times’ is a lovely and bumpy ‘R&Bass’ affair. The seductive tones of Bristol’s Fille de la Lune simmer over a collage of twisted rhythms and stirring soul: “like a late-1990s vocal house anthem being disemboweled by a swarm of ravenous nanonites.” Check out the gorgeously otherworldly video to accompany ‘Murderous Times’ and preview the EP below.
