So as you may have noticed, we’ve been celebrating our BIRTHDAY over the past four weeks, with a massive 18 years in the game (yep, we can’t quite believe it either).
Having run four FREE consecutive parties at Hoxton’s Number 177, we’ve hosted some of our favourite artists labels and movements, with Etch, EVM128, Coyote Records, Last Japan, Tarquin, Impey, Aurora Mitchell, Congi, TRE’BORE, DJ SagePAy, Gundam and Jossy Mitsu all steppin ‘pon deck.
Tonight, for our final showdown, the same rules apply, FREE entry to all, 6 ’til 12, with food offers and plenty of Hyponik goodies to give away.
Seeing of our birthday celebrations are three of London’s rising stars, with Shy One, Tash LC and Naina all on 3-hour B2B duties, with support from resident DJ SagePay and our very own Hyponik All-Stars.
As we’re sure that like us, you won’t be ready to call it a night come last tune (and confetti cannon), we’ve saved you the trouble of stumbling into London in search of a dance that can match by compiling a list of the best spots to head to when the music stops.
Here’s our five picks of where to follow…
Cult German festival Nachtdigital celebrates its 20th anniversary with a showcase held in collaboration with Make Me, whilst Oval Space Music presents a live set by Warp prodigy Lorenzo Senni. If that’s not your thing, catch Hessle Audio alumni Joe making a rare appearance at Ormside Projects or turn up to see Benji B hold it down at Brixton Jamm.
And if you’re low on cash, Lex Records are hosting a free party at O’Meara with live performances from Eyedress and NYC rapper MIKE, along with DJ sets from Andrew Hung & Russ Ryan.
Hyponik turns 18 this Friday at Number 177. More info here.
