Jessee Egan is an artist of many talents. A producer, sound designer, and multimedia artist, Egan hails from Brooklyn as has released music under multiple aliases since 2011, most notably via AY Japan.
For her latest incarnation, XGLARE, Egan balances warped sound design, unearthly atmospheres and experimental rhythms that reject genre boundaries. Released via fellow New Yorker Falty DL’s Blueberry Records imprint, XGLARE’s Morph EP yields heavy atmospheres, with beats and dance elements taking center stage alongside impossibly powerful, almost elemental transitions.
Premiering EP cut – ‘Spore’, XGLARE’s carefully crafted melodies float between disgruntled percussion and washed out textures. A future club cut that matches the delicacy of contempary artists such as Actress and Laurel Halo.
Morph EP is out September 21 on Blueberry Records.
