First Listen: Will Lister – ‘Pleasant Air’ (Of Paradise)

Rising UK talent Will Lister brings his experimental house sound to Of Paradise.

Of Paradise, the London Label run by Lauren Chalmers and Paul Patterson, return with the second in their white label series. Following on from Baltra’s Can’t Explain it EP, rising London talent Will Lister is next in line with new EP, Glow.

Lister has been making moves since he debuted back in 2016, aged 18, on Phonica’s in house label and has been going from strength to strength ever since. He has released music on a variety of labels including Joy in Repetition, ANMA, Rhythm Section and more, with his Balamii radio show becoming part of the station’s fabric.

Glow sees Lister on top form, coming out with four experimental UK house/techno cuts ripe for the DJ’s picking. We’ve got the exclusive for the A2, ‘Pleasant Air’, a track which sees Lister focus his talents firmly on peak time club damage. The result is a rolling four-four heater that stumbles along at full speed, barely stopping for breath, creating a sound that comes close to falling apart but always maintaining composure.

Glow is out November 29th via Of Paradise.

The EP launch party goes down on December 1st at Brilliant Corners.
