Vromm signs onto Om Unit’s Cosmic Bridge Records with an impressive debut EP.
Jim Coles, aka Om Unit has been treating us this year. After two quality releases from Oliver Yorke and Proc Fiskal, Coles’ most recent signing, Vromm, follows with a three-track EP showcasing a versatile approach to drum & bass.
The Spanish-born, London-based producer has already been making a name for himself with releases on Doc Scott’s 31 Records and Critical Music. A commercial composer by day, Vromm’s attitude to production is one that is free from conventions of genre, and ‘For The New Dawn,’ arguably his most accomplished record to date, demonstrates his ability to merge the sound of d&b with ambient, jazz, and beyond.
Dark and minimal, ‘Restart’ slowly builds with layers of melody and percussion, and Vromm’s intricate sound design creates something both subdued and euphoric.
For The New Dawn is out July 6th on Cosmic Bridge Records.
