First Listen: Utah? – ‘Polymer’ (Coyote Records)

Sheffield’s Utah? finds his natural home on Coyote Records with four icy grime flicks.

Following the recent release of Cyte Recs, the first of a new 24-page annual zine from the forward-thinking label that aims to bring fan closer to the artists, Coyote Records announce their first release of the year, with four iced-out grimestrumentals from Sheffield beat maker Utah?.

Marking the Steel City producer’s third release to date, each of Bronze’s four cuts are filled with epic synth strokes and razor-sharp drum play that come carved under sub-zero conditions. It’s a palette already familiar to the label in the works of producers like Silk Road Assassins, E.M.M.A. and Last Japan, yet its Utah?’s ability to paint such an eerie picture still firmly rooted in the club that makes his story such a captivating listen.

Out May 24th on both physical and digital platforms, get a taste for the record with ‘Polymer’ below.
