Troy Gunner continues to assert himself as one of UK techno’s finest with the second self-release on his fresh new imprint, GUNNER.
Having had his first release picked up by the likes of Hodge, Zenker Brothers and Carl Craig, Gunner’s gritty dancefloor explorations continue with GUNNER002, a trio of deadly techno tracks that combine muscular rhythms, intricate synth play and razor-sharp textures.
Our pick, ‘Esperanza’, is perhaps the most stuttery out of the bunch, with broken bits of rubble slowly pieced together by the fierce rumble of heavyweight bass pressure.
Limited to 300 copies, GUNNER002 is out February 16. Pre-order it here.
