Bristol doom operator DJ October lends a hand to techno-punk outfit Scalping.
Scalping are the latest anarchists to emerge from the ever-visionary sound city of Bristol. Comprised of members James Rushforth, Alexander Hill, Isaac Jones and Jamie Thomas, the four piece band share a love of techno, punk, industrial and all things noise, crafting music that attacks these scenes with a vigorously hostile energy.
Having recently supported Ho9909, Holy Fuck and Marie Davidson and performed on Crack Mag’s stage at Simple Things, the band now drop their official debut release, Chamber, which offers two new tracks alongside remix efforts from fellow Bristolians and hyponik favourites Bruce and DJ October.
Grabbing hold of an exclusive stream of October’s nutty ‘Chamber’ edit, the freakish producer and one half of doom duo Spiritflesh proceeds by typically tweaking buttons that bit closer toward dance floor disorder.
Chamber is out now on Council Records.
