First listen: Sangre Voss – One Bad Mango (Ranga’s Coconut Mix)

It’s always exciting when you find a new label you’ve never heard before and your first reaction is something along the lines of, “Why am I only just hearing this!?” Enter fledgling London label Third Place. Their first release from Sangre Voss was a stone cold groover, with the B1 ‘One Bad Mango’ finding its way onto the Martinez Brothers contribution to Fabric’s Fabriclive series.

Now they’re onto record No. 3, Kong, four lively MPC heaters from Liverpool based artist Ranga. With an album on Blueshift and remix credits for Nubiyan Twist, Afroqui & The Flamingods, his new record is a delicious, percussive affair ripe for the dancefloor.

We’ve got the premier for the B1, which comes in the form of a remix of the aforementioned ‘One Bad Mango’ from Sangre Voss. Ranga injects even more sizzling groove, ensuring this one is guaranteed to turn up the peak time heat on any dancefloor. Definitely a producer and label to keep an eye on!
