Running since September 2017, Adrien Qir’s Lowlife Cartel imprint returns with its second various artist release, calling upon a number of global artists that includes notable producers like Machine Woman, Russian producer Buttechno, and Italy’s PRESENTE.
With the label’s motto of “dissociative tones”, the French imprint states it chooses to focus on texture rather than melody, with no boundary in genres.
This is evident in Dragged-Shed Impressions, where sounds shift from experimental dub and lo-fi house to anarchic techno and futuristic jungle. It’s the latter which we present today, with rising producer PRESENTE’s twisted breaks battling high pressure and broken signals for frequency dominance.
Dragged-Shed Impressions is out now on Lowlife Cartel.
