Since 2013, Manni Dee has been dealing primarily in techno of the hardest variety. Gravitating from his all manners of bass music style, records on Black Sun Records, Osiris Music and Perc Trax have seen the London based DJ and producer continuously turn out breakneck warehouse fillers with an ear for the unsettled.
Finding home on Tresor, the imitable Berlin imprint will release Manni Dee’s first album The Residue,in June, which is said to be inspired by “London and its general living conditions. More particularly, how social cleansing, inequality and the political situation generally – and on a holistic scale – informs internal and external locus of control.”
Today we premiere album cut ‘Subterranean Choke’, an unforgiving slab of haunting techno with wails and cries that echo far beyond the corridor walls.
The Residue is out June 15 on Berlin’s Tresor Records.
