Leaders of London’s Bruk movement CoOp continue to expose a wealth of fresh talent navigating in and around the world of broken beat and beyond with the third instalment of their Selectors Assemble series.
Following various artist releases that saw rollers from both old and new school players like Seiji, Henry Wu, Entek and EVM128, CoOp Presents proceed with Selectors Assemble Volume Three, a six-track selection from their ever-growing squad that sweeps club styles and brings another assortment of dancefloor ammo.
With efforts from German trio Soul Parlor, label bosses IG & Phountzi (aka NameBrandSound), Gontzi and more, today we focus on the soulful grooves of next-gen member James Rudie. Branded as ‘drunken house’, ‘BoxD’ sees Rudie continue to pull out the swing, with extra shuffle in the kit and tender notes in all the right places.
Selectors Assemble Volume Three is out May 18 on CoOp Presents.
