Frantic footwork designs from the Canadian production duo.
With an extensive and diverse Bandcamp page it’s easy to see why some can get lost in the 160 madness of London-via-Paris label Moveltraxx. Pushing a tight-knit hub of newcomers and established artists alike, the label exploits the fun and frivolous side of footwork and its many branches. Cheeky juke edits sit adjacent to weighty club tools, Photoshop wizardry next to abstract artwork, on a platform that portrays Moveltraxx as an imprint that is considerate of the image is wants it’s artists to showcase whilst still pioneering one of dance music’s beloved sub genres.
Continuing the 160 hype into 2020, their next release comes from Canadian production duo Hood Joplin and Text Chunk, whose manic footwork designs combine for the 9-track club assault, Bank Account. With choice cuts from the record already spun heavy over the summer by the likes of Skee Mask and co, we’ve now got our hands on the next piece of artillery off the LP – as we premiere album sharp shooter ‘Back Twist Out’ in full below.
Bank Account drops early 2020 on Moveltraxx.
