Lesser known in the realms of dance music, producer Guava makes waves with composition. His forthcoming offering comes on Desert Sound Colony’s favoured imprint, Holding Hands. The first in a series of various artist compilations, Guava’s ‘Super Cub’ appears alongside three others on Slam Jams Vol 1; all deploying varying degrees of pure slam!
As a professional composer for game and film, Guava’s electronic productions bridge the gap between both worlds; beautifully blending raw instrumentation and sampling with traditional electronic principles. Highly theatrical in its movement through psychedelic guitar driven plains to the plummeting depths of basement rousing breaks, ‘Super Cub’ is a journey to strap in for.
Slam Jams Vol 1 is out March 8 on physical formats.
