First Listen: DSG – ‘Heaven Drop Out’ (Palais De Danse)

DSG is back with a new EP that proves his multifaceted flare for rave hits

Some may know Palais de Danse as the Glasgow-based record store. DSG, the shop owner and label head has been releasing hard-hitting records since 2016. On top of his residency for the Missing Persons Club party series, the imprint arm to Palais de Dance has provided an open-ended outlet for DSG’s genre defying productions; responsible for all four EP releases on the label thus far.

With the essence of rave always in mind, DSG latest release PDD004 bursts with breakbeats, heavy kicks and pedal hums through a 1979 Pioneer SA-7500 amplifier. Comprising six tracks across PDD004, PDG silkily experiments with a range of genres and feelings. Taking off from tranquil a state of calm in opener ‘As The Falling Deteriorate’ into a succession of wild energy bursts as the EP progresses into big tempo, heavy floor-fillers.

We are delighted to premiere the fourth track of the release, ‘Heaven Drop Out’. A killer 150 BPM bass tune propelled by dizzying jungle and hardcore donk-esque stabs. Listen below.
