Chris Finke aka Bodyjack returns to DEXT Recordings to deliver their landmark 10th release.
Bodyjack comes from a rich history of involvement in DMC DJ championships, and his work in the studio matches the quality of his career in the club setting.
With a remix of Leftfield and a collaboration with industry big hitter Special Request under his belt, as well as a string of releases on his own vinyl-only imprint, Bodyjack returns to production with Nataraja, a two track EP on DEXT Recordings.
Speaking on the release, Bodyjack states “After a year of shelving my Bodyjack alias and just concentrating on my He/aT project, I was messing about with some beats and made this in about 2 hours flat. I sent it straight to Haze (DEXT) and he went nuts for it and asked for it for the 10th release. It’s definitely one of my favourite ones and kickstarted this project again so I’m happy with how it all worked.”
‘Nataraja’ is ‘Lord of the Dance’ in Sanskrit, and this is reflected by these two club-focussed cuts, which charge through a ‘frenzy of machine-based percussion, paranoid synths and razor-sharp attack.’
Today we premiere the EP opener ‘Nataraja,’ which combines hectic claps and twisted synths to make for a dance floor killer.
Nataraja is out 29th June on DEXT Recordings.
