First Listen: Amazondotcom – ‘Twice Silenced’ (Siete Catorce Version)

Bristol’s Nostro Hood System return for their seventh release with a collaborate effort from experimental electronic producers Siete Catorce and Amazondotcom. 

Hailing from Mexicali and Los Angeles, the two artists have previous ties to labels like NAAFI and Enchufada. Their crippled club constructions sit somewhere along the borders of experimental dance music, disrupting trending formulas of today and shifting between an array of rhythmic assaults, icy harmonics and vigorous sub-low pressure.

Made up of four tracks, we pick out Siete Catorce’s rework of ‘Twice Silenced’, which sees the producer build round the ghostly melodies of Amazondotcom’s original with a flood of supercharged percussion and frantic left turns. Hear below.
