Since their first record in 2017, East London imprint Trouble Maker have been building up a cult following through their cosmic club releases of disco, house, techno and whatever oddball sounds catch their ears. Unafraid to tread into new directions, they recently fired out a 12″ from Lion & Lamb resident Mr Bobby Pleasure that featured a very special rework from London club hero Craig Richards.
The label’s most recent offering however comes via the big man himself, as Adam Curtain (one half of Extra Terrestrial) steps up for his first solo outing with three head-turners that hover round the 130bpm bracket and move through the heavy templates of electro 2-step, and garage.
Leading with Karate Kid special ‘Mr Miyagi’, the shaky electro cut sends its signal via a series of frazzled bleeps and worn out machinery. Press play below.
Mr Miyagi is out February 25 via Trouble Maker Records.
