Serial collaborator Beau Wanzer who is also, among others, Civil Duty with Shawn O’Sullivan, one third of Mutant Beat Dance, about to release a second album with Corporate Park as CP/BW, and did we mention is also a full time molecular biologist (breathe) is now back as Juzer, a project between himself and the late Chicago musician Dan Jugle.
Jugle himself was also an avid collaborator, being a member of Dar Embarks, Chandeliers, and Ghost Arcade. He was a champion of the Chicago underground and his passing last summer rocked the whole scene.
This will be the duo’s third release together, having previously released records with The Corner and Dog In The Night. Their new record, Old Reliable, is set to arrive January 20th through CLEAR records and contains four examples of the pairs restless and raw electronic jams. We’ve got the exclusive for the B1, ‘Busy Bees’, an anxious hardware tantrum that fuses relentless 4/4 techno percussion with unsettled, whining and dissonant synthesizer work.
