Forthcoming on the Footwork House Jam #1 compilation.
No, it’s not Chicago footwork.
What it is, is some shuffling house magic, inspired by the Moscow club night of the same name. Dedicated to the worldwide house music community, and inspired by Russia’s house music dance crews, this EP was collated by Lay-Far, a long-term resident of the Footwork House Jam (FW) night. With contributions from leading producers from all over the world, including Nubian Mindz, Kid Sublime, and Intr0beatz, every cut is a massive shaker.
Atlanta, Georgia’s own Byron The Aquarius‘ contribution is a relentlessly upbeat track, with a driving kick line, and a hi-hat rhythm that forces you to move. All underpinned by the lively synth line, giving it a throw back feel. Not that you’d notice, ’cause you’ll be too busy dancing.
The compilation is due out February 17 on In-Beat-Ween Music, pre-order it here.
