Rhythm Section waves goodbye to its pool hall HQ, with a classy lineup locked in to celebrate the party’s new South London home: Bussey Building.
Alexander Nut, Pablo Valentino, Z Lovecraft, anu
To kick-off 2017 we have not one but two of the foremost tastemakers and labelheads around. Heading both Eglo and MCDE respectively, Alex Nut and Pablo Valentino will be taking us through the most soulful sounds that dance music can offer.
*MCDE meets EGLO at Rhythm Section*
Alex Nut, who needs little introduction is a superb radio host, selector and curator – responsible for putting the likes of Floating Points, funkineven and Fatima into our consciousness. With over 50 releases strong, Eglo Records have become a musical institution with no signs of slowing down with killer recent releases from dego, kaidi, henry wu , k15 and steve spacek. Long story short – Alexander Nut is THE MAN, and it’s almost shameful that we haven’t had him at RS until now!
Pablo Valentino, has been putting fine music to our ears for a long time now, running both MCDE and Faces Records; instigating fine releases from the likes of Rainy City, Laurent Garnier, Harvey Sutherland and of course Motor City Drum Ensemble. Along with being a talented producer himself, Pablo runs Le Sucre, Lyon – a regular get down with many similarites to our own party, noted for its soulful bookings; with Dego, Geology and Patrice Scott amongst others. Pablo is more than well-versed to hold things down in lieu of our ma n BZ
Z Lovecraft & anu will be warming things up whilst Bradley Zero is away down under.
We’re taking over Room 1 at BUSSEY, we’ll be firing up the neon and moving the decks to ground level for that RS feel. Come down early to soak up the vibe and avoid the line. buy adv tickets to queue jump. links below
