Nick Williams (Meda Fury / Phonica Records)
2020. Back at Corsica Studios for the first of 3 monthly parties in our Winter/Spring series. Two defining NYC artists at the controls in the main room, whilst a Parisian genre-bender mixes it up next door.
Naples has been on killer form recently. The Incienso boss / Nowadays resident’s transmission filtered through fluorescent static ‘Fog FM’ cleaned up at pretty much all the 2019 End of Year lists. He’s joined by good friend Huerco S, who under multiple monikers has cemented himself as one of the greatest producers to come out of NYC in decades. On the warmup, Meda Fury boss / Phonica Records stalwart Nick Williams makes his second CF appearance after decimating The Waiting Room this time last year.
Following a slew of impressive releases on the likes of Livity Sound, Timedance and more, Simo Cell’s long-overdue Dekmantel Boiler Room demonstrated his daring, distinctive, bass-heavy style and stood out as one of the best of year. Alongside him in Room 2 is Rhythm Sister/Headroom co-founder Jessica, whose set at Love International 2019 caught our ears during a hazy afternoon session on the Adriatic coast. Deftly jumping across genres
