Hyponik: Raji Rags & Rita Maia

Number 90 90 Main Yard; Wallis Road; London E9 5LN; United Kingdom

Raji Rags
Rita Maia

Thanks to all the heads that came down to Rye Wax last month, in July we’re switching up the vibe slightly and hosting a free summer day party at Number 90 Bar with 2 special selectors.

Raji Rags (NTS Radio / Livin’ Proof / Boiler Room)

Having held down senior positions at Bleep (Warp Records) and Boiler Room over the past 10 years, to say Raji Rags has been extremely influential in various electronic music scenes is an understatement. With a taste that encompasses dusty gems and classics, through to the most cutting edge contemporary house, hip-hop and electro, the NTS host extraordinaire is sure to bring his A game to our summer getdown.

Rita Maia (Worldwide FM / Migrant Sounds)

Lisbon-born, London-based DJ, film maker and radio broadcaster Rita Maia caught our ears via her regular slot on Giles Peterson’s Worldwide FM. Bringing an eclectic mix of sounds, Rita’s global explorations combine afro-centric beats and UK-bass stylings, and always come engineered for the dance.

Hyponik DJs will also be on hand throughout the day providing the goods.

Krankbrother presents Helena Hauff

E1 London 110 Pennington Street Wapping London E1W 2BB

+ buy tickets

Helena Hauff is pretty much our favourite DJ. We’ve been trying to book her to play for Krankbrother since long before she became one of the most in-demand DJs on the circuit. Her sound is at once nostalgic and futuristic, fusing acid, electro, techno & minimalism. Safe to say her DJ sets are unique on the scene – a true DJ’s DJ.

Her music needs to be heard in a venue that takes sound quality seriously – so E1 London was an obvious choice. E1 have worked exhaustively with London’s premier Funktion One supplier, Sound Services, and created to our minds what is currently the best sound-system in the city.

Krankbrother will warm up for 3 hours, followed by Helena for 5 hours. This is her first extended set in London in a good few years. You’ll find us losing ourselves front and centre for this one!
