Glass Table drops a limited 4-track picture disc 12″ from Brooklyn producer Braille.
With the 6th annual Record Store Day approaching this Saturday 20th April, Hypercolour sister label Glass Table are joining in the fun by releasing a 4-track EP on the day from Praveen Sharma aka Braille. This is no ordinary EP however – in the spirit of the occasion they’ve pressed it to limited 12″ picture disc and as you can see from the pictures below, it’s a very beautiful thing.
‘The Storm’ EP is Sharma’s first 12″ under the Braille alias since 2011 releases on Hotflush and Rush Hour, but many will know him for his stunning work alongside Machinedrum as Sepalcure. The four tracks of the EP roll through varying strains of house; the A-side title track is gripped by Detroit-esque synth stabs whilst ‘Me&U’ is something of the calm after ‘The Storm’, shifting down the BPMs to a soulful, summery jam. The energy rises again on the flip with the Funky-tinged ‘At A Glance’, before the hazy syncopations of ‘Casper’ draw things to a close. Stream the EP below and grab it here on Saturday.
