The two veterans tell their story in the new video from Bloc.
The history of Jungle is a story we’ve heard many times, but its one we never tire of hearing. Few are better at telling it than Randall and Source Direct, who feature in a new short documentary made by Bloc. Tracing their early days from Acid House and late 80’s and early 90’s Hip-Hop up into the evolution of Jungle, ‘Jungle Is Massive’, also sees the pair nodding to the recent wave of producers referencing and paying tribute to Jungle.
With an appearance from up and comer Benton and a quick trip to see Randall playing DJ Hype’s Kiss FM show with D Double E on mic duties, the doc is good prep for events at Bloc’s new Autumn Street Studios home in Hackney Wick this weekend. This Saturday 7th February will see Randall and Source Direct joined by Zomby t0 spin Jungle new and old – with a comprehensive genre take over planned at next month’s Bloc weekender in Minehead.
Randall, Source Direct and Zomby play Bloc (Autumn Street) this Saturday 7th February. Buy tickets here.
