Following last night’s premiere, the Rollo Jackson directed documentary is now available for your viewing pleasure.’
Grime’s biggest and brighest were in full effect last night at Shoreditch’s Red Gallery – where Boiler Room were premiering Rollo Jackson’s new documentary ‘Slimzee’s Going On Terrible’. The subject of the doc then manned the 1’s and 2’s for a crucial two hour dub heavy set, with the likes of Novelist, D Double E, Flowdan and Footsie taking turns on the mic to pay tribute to Grime’s most celebrated selector.
For those who weren’t lucky enough to attend last night, the documentary is now available to watch in full below. Mostly shot in monochrome with the odd splash of ultraviolet colour, the 20 minute short features a mixture of interview footage with Slimzee on his rise to the top of towerblocks and the scene general mixed in with words from DJ Wonder, Youngstar, Riko Dan and Jammer – as well as an appearance from Slim’s pet gecko. Also featured are audio and video recordings of live sets with Skepta, Jammer, Wiley and Scratchy, to help form one of the most beautifully shot pieces on Grime to date.
