Watch the Austrian keyboard wizard discussing his new live show and why he’s left the Microkorg behind
Oliver Thomas Johnson’s second album as Dorian Concept, ‘Joint Ends’ is his most refined piece of work to date. And endless wave of textures, it’s been a staple of the Hyponik office stereo for the past couple of weeks and you’re in for a treat when it lands on October 20th.
A devout performer, his blistering live show has long been one of the most exciting in electronic music. Recruiting his Austrian friends Cid Rim – a ferociously talented jazz drummer – and the cloniOUs, who has carved a name for himself with his own future-gazing electronic experiments, this talented trio takes a “a cyborg-like” formation as Dorian Concept jokes “the classic trio format playing both MIDI and acoustic instruments.”
