Venetian Snares, Luke Vibert & Red Snapper Play An All-Nighter In London This Weekend

This eclectic line-up will come together for 8 hours at the Scala venue in London on Saturday night…

Aaron Funk, the Canadian sonic terrorist better known as Venetian Snares has released over 20 albums since his debut in 1999, with a meticulous approach he channels a brutal dissonance in his dark and complex music. He will make a rare, one-off appearance at the massive Scala club in Kings Cross this weekend. This falls on the recent announcement that Funk will be releasing a new album ‘My Love Is A Bulldozer’ on Planet Mu this June. It’s been over four years since his last full-length as Venetian Snares – revellers can expect to hear some a array of frantic new material!

Also billed on the line-up is another long-time favourite in Luke Vibert, his rhythmic brand of stoned exotica and acidic grooves never fails to please. He’s released on some of the biggest labels in the game including Warp, Rephlex and Ninja Tune. His latest outing, ‘Ridmik’ on Hypercolour has been blasted more than just a couple of times in the Hyponik office.

To round things up, Red Snapper with a full live band will be performing exclusive new material from their latest album ‘Hyena’ which will be released by Lo Recordings in September. The show promises to be a psychedelic Afrofunk journey deep into the band’s dark waters…
