Following Ninja Tune and Hyperdub, Tiger Beer reveal the hidden depths of Hospital Records.
After two much-lauded showcases of the aforementioned labels, Tiger Beer turn their focus to one of the UK’s most influential, long-standing labels – Hospital Records. Responsible for numerous huge releases from High Contrast, London Elektricity, Landslide, Zed Bias and so many more, and responsible for Hospitality, one of our country’s leading drum & bass night, Hospital Records genuinely have helped shape electronic music as a whole.
On July 25, XOYO will host the Hospital crew in a night promising much more than just music for the drum & bass heads. A Hyponik favourite, Photek, leads the bill. Performing his ‘Modus Operandi’ set, he will fuse strands of drum & bass, jungle and some slower bass music in what promises to be a special show.
High Contrast and Fred V & Grafix will no doubt bring DJ sets full of the energy this label is known for, and one of the unsung heroes of UK dance music, Landslide, can be relied on for an informed selection of 170BPM. The night will be hosted by MC Wrec, and Swell Session and Other Echoes also play. All for just £5!
