Surgeon To Deliver Guest Mix On Rinse FM

The UK techno pioneer will drop a 2-hour guest mix tonight on Rinse FM.

Surgeon has been a prevailing force in the UK electronic scene for the past two decades, rising to prominence in the mid-90s with techno creations that span the emotive and minimal, through to the dark and industrial. His extensive discography has graced influential Birmingham label Downwards, Berlin institution Tresor, as well as his own imprints Counterbalance and Dynamic Tension, and whether releasing under the Surgeon moniker, alongside Regis as the British Murder Boys, or more recently with Blawan as Trade, he is an artist who has never failed to stay relevant. Techno aside, he recently unleashed his first solo album under his given name Anthony Child, an album of experimental tone-based work titled ‘The Space Between People And Things’, and released via Burlington cassette label NNA Tapes.

There aren’t many better excuses to stay in on a Friday night than a 2-hour Surgeon guest mix, and that’s exactly what’s in store tonight (Friday April 12th) on Rinse FM. Tune in here from 11pm-1am, and get in the mood by checking his recent 2-hour, non-techno Boiler Room daytime set below.
