‘Signal Life,’ run by Finland’s bass producers Teeth and Desto, are to release a split 12 inch from Visionist and Last Japan.
Visionist‘s A-side is a track entitled ‘Control This’, a typically grime-indebted effort, with murky basslines and staccato drums. The 92 Points and Lost Codes man, aka Louis Carnell, seems to be in rich vein of form right now with details of a record for LNUK emerging last week.
Both ‘Control This’ and Last Japan‘s number ‘Storm Trooper’ succeed in reflecting the dark, percussion-focused ethos of Signal Life, with characteristic 808s and heavyweight programming throughout. Yet another well-paired 12″ for the label it seems.
