Stones Throw Collaborate With AIAIAI On New Headphones

Los Angeles based label Stones Throw have announced collaboration with Danish audio design company AIAIAI.

The label, which is home to the likes of Madlib, Dam-Funk and Aloe Blacc amongst others, have teamed up with AIAIAI to make a special edition of the latter’s beloved TMA-1 headphones. The headphones, originally developed back in 2010 in collaboration with 25 acclaimed international DJ’s, sport a new colourway and the label’s logo engraved on each ear, as well as boasting two detachable cords, one of which is a microphone.

On sale from February 12th via AIAIAI and Stones Throw (with European customers advised to use AIAIAI), the first 300 to pre-order the special edition TMA-1’s will get a special limited edition 7″ vinyl featuring unreleased material from Peanut Butter Wolf and Dam-Funk. The 45 cover features two polaroid photos of the pair from the years of the recordings 1992 and 1993 (seen below).

Head over to the Stones Throw website for specs on the TMA-1 special editions, and go over to AIAIAI’s website to pre-order them. Meanwhile you can check out photos of the headphones below.
