Brand new night at Corsica Studios to celebrate London’s unique club culture and the people who define it.
‘120-140bpm bass music’, ‘UK bass’, ‘post-everything’ – call it what you like – London is enjoying an unclassifiable period within music and Staunch are here to celebrate the music and individuals that define it. For their opening party they’ve invited a selection of bass music pioneers alongside breakthrough artists, for a perfect representation of the current state of bass in 2012.
Taking place bimonthly at Corsica Studios, “Staunch will reboot the picture, bringing those names together under one roof. Our event will promote exchange between producers and DJs, and be a key destination for clubbers. It will, most importantly, be an amazing night out. No frills, just a good party.”
Heading up the bill is one third of Magnetic Man, Arthur ‘Artwork‘ Smith. The Big Apple affiliate will be showcasing a classic techno set, an absolute must for anyone with an interest in the history of electronic dance music. He’s joined by another institute of bass music, Boddika, who’s forthcoming ‘Acid Jackson/Basement’ release on Swamp 81 is scolding hot property. Dusky, Huxley, Klose One, Mickey Pearce and Will Bankhead complete the bill for what’s set to be one of the biggest nights on the February club calendar.
