So Solid Return With ‘UK Hot Wid It’

London urban collective So Solid Crew are set to release their first single in nearly four years this September.

Available as a digital download on September 16th, ‘UK Hot Wid It’ constitutes the first significant release from the controversial group since 2009’s ‘Since You Went Away’. A typically energetic cut, the new single blends quick spitting with RnB hooks and a manic beat from Orange Hill. With original members Megaman, Romeo, Harvey, Lisa Maffia, Neutrino and more all featuring, there is a strong chance that this could reignite interest in the group that dominated the urban music landscape in Britain during the early noughties. The single comes ahead of a ‘Best Of’ album due for release later in the year and a UK tour, which culminates in a date at London’s O2 Arena on October 5th.

The single, tour and album continue the group’s comeback, which began earlier this year with a sold out show at the O2’s sister venue InidgO2 this March, yet was marred by the cancellation of their appearance at last weekend’s Lovebox festival. Between number one singles, court dates and now their recent comeback, there is never a dull moment in the saga of So Solid Crew, so keep your eyes peeled for future developments on the group.
