Hotflush boss and UK bass pioneer to release third album this February.
Paul Rose, the man behind one of the foremost names in the UK techno sphere, is set to release his third album under the Scuba moniker on February 27.
Entitled ‘Personality’, the album consists of 11 tracks of cross-genre electronic exploration, exploring Rose’s work in both techno and house music, as outlined in last years huge ‘Adrenaline’ release. Preceding the will be single ‘The Hope’, released on February 6, and backed by an exclusive non-album cut ‘Flash Addict’.
The album rounds off a particularly busy period for the Hotflush Recordings boss, who’s label has continually released some of the finest electronic music of the past twelve months (think Paul Woolford & Psycatron, and the forthcoming Locked Groove EP), not to mention finishing in a respectable twenty-fifth position in Resident Advisor’s 2011 poll of the world’s best DJs.
Talking to the aformetioned site earlier today, Rose dropped some pretty heavy hints on the sounds used within ‘Personality’, saying: “I’m just trying to enjoy myself and do things I hadn’t done previously, experiment with things and see what comes out. The results of that have been fairly dancey, quite poppy club music.” Check the full tracklist and official artwork below.
